Practice Schedule – Diving

All times are when practice begins. During the school day, divers have 20 minutes from when their prior class ends to be on the diving board. This allows them plenty of time to check in with their PE teacher, come to the pool and get changed into their suit. Diving will be either 4th or 8th block plus Wednesday and Saturday. Schedulers are working on the whether it will be 4th/8th. If diving during PE does not work – a diver can still be on the team but will practice on Wednesdays/Saturdays only. Start times are based on the current school day. If DMPS passes the school day change, our times will adjust accordingly.

  • 4th Block Practices (excluding Wednesdays): 2:30-4:00PM
  • Wednesday Practices:
    • PE Day Practice – Practices are 1:15-4:00PM
      • Practice starts at 1:15 to allow for lunch on deck from 12:30-1:00PM.
    • Non-PE Day Practices – Practices are 2:30-4:00PM
      • School ends at 1:35PM. 55 minutes is set aside for lunch, getting to the pool and changing for practice.
  • Saturday Mornings: 7:00-9:00AM

Varsity divers are also expected to do dryland training with the swimmers Monday and Wednesday mornings 6:00-7:00 a.m., unless they are participating in strength and conditioning with another LHS fall sport (ex: volleyball, cheerleading, football).
