Here’s the 2018 Rails Swim/Dive team seniors! These ladies helped lead the team during the off-season in preparation for the 2018 season. They do more than help the team succeed at meets, they also help coordinate team activities and support a positive team atmosphere. Be sure to come support this great class of seniors at Senior Night on September 18, 2018. Read a little more about each girl below.
Erica Benson | Erica attends Lincoln High School and is a four-year varsity swimmer. She competes in the 50 Free and 100 Fly. Her goal for this season is to reach new personal bests in her 100 Fly and 50 Free. Erica’s excited this season spending time with friends and reaching new personal bests. She’s also involved Movement 515 and soccer.
Grace Crady | Grace attends Norwalk High School and four-year varsity swimmer. She swims the 200 Free and 500 Free. Grace’s goals are to achieve new personal bests in her events and maintain a Sub :60 average in her 100 Free, as part of the 400 Free Relay. She’s looking forward to making some school history, bonding with her teammates and reaching new personal bests. Grace is very involved at Norwalk, participating in band, show choir combo, national council of youth leadership, national honor society and student council.
Gaby Espinoza | Gaby attends Lincoln High School. Gabi competes in the 50 Free and 100 Free and her main goals for her senior year are to improve on last year’s times and have fun! As such, she’s most excited about everything that makes high school swimming great from the chance to make school history to all the team bonding events during the season. Gaby is also involved in soccer and Science Bound.
Anna Jasper | Anna’s a four year junior varsity swimmer and attends Lincoln High School. She swims the 100 Free and 50 Free. Anna’s goals for this season include to improve her swims, drop time and bond with her lane mates. She’s most looking forward to winning meets, reaching personal bests and team bonding. Plus, spending time with old friends and making new ones! Anna’s also involved in Robotics.
Lanchi Nguyen | Lanchi attends Lincoln High School. She swims the 50 Free and 100 Free. Her main goal for the 2018 season is to drop two seconds in her 100 Free. She’s excited about the team dinners, spending time with friends and the Thursday Morning Breakfast Club. Lanchi is also involved in NHS and Band.
Emma Peterson | Emma attends Norwalk High School. She competes in 50 Free and 100 Free and her main goal is to drop time in her events. She’s most looking forward to the team dinners and spending time with friends this season. Emma is also involved in show choir.
Keara Schmitt | Keara attends Norwalk High School. She swims the 50 Free and 100 Free. Her goal for this season is to improve her times which is why she’s most looking forward to reaching new personal bests. She’s also involved in basketball.
Ella Worth | Ella’s a senior at Lincoln High School and has been a varsity swimmer for all four years. She swims the 100 Back and 100 Fly. Her main goal for this season is to better herself as swimmer and as a teammate. Ella’s most looking forward to the team dinners and reaching personal bests.
Sophie Zeitvogel | Sophie attends Lincoln High School, but she’s a foreign exchange student from Germany! Her main event for this year is the 50 Free. Her biggest goal for this season is to learn more about high school swimming in America. As part of this effort, Sophie is most looking forward to the team dinners, team bonding, making new friends, spending time with friends and reaching new personal bests. She also plans to be involved in choir and several other new activities.
