HS Men’s Team Races Fast in Time Trials

The high school men’s team tackled Time Trials on Saturday (11/11). While it was only the first Saturday of the season, it’s important to have a mock meet to evaluate individual swims and splits for relay events. Those times help coaches determine the best line-up for the first few meets of season. The team did well, swimming faster than at last year’s time trials by far. In fact, it was the best time trials the men’s team has ever had! The improvements are truly a testament to the everyone’s hard work in the off-season.

Meet Highlights
Below are just a few meet highlights from Saturday’s time trials. While we can’t include everyone in the meet highlights, we try to feature swims from every meet. Please note that Time Trials works a little different than dual meets. We keep most varsity times under wraps until after the first meet of the season, so they won’t be featured here and the highlights will be fairly limited.

  • Javier Santiago swam his 100 Fly in a 58.58!
  • Will Bennett raced to a 53.32 in the 100 Free
  • Konnor Klocke was a 1:59.31 in the 200 Free
  • Gabe McCollough swam the 200 Free in 2:18.36
  • Derek Webster swam his 100 Back in 1:13.29
  • Shaun Slycord’s 100 Breaststroke was a 1:14.31

Photos
Here are just three photos from the meet. During season we try to take photos and we rely heavily on parent photos uploaded to the team Shutterfly website to share a few here, on social media and with the schools’ websites. Typically photos are selected 24-48 hours after the meet for team use. A link to the team’s photo website can be found in the upper menu > Photo Website. Links to past photo websites can be found under Men’s Swimming > Photo Site Archive.
