A Look Back At The 2016-17 Season
The 2016-17 Rails Men’s swim team worked hard day in and day out to leave their mark in the history books at Lincoln High School. They were the most prepared team in Coach Weber’s tenure, as they had spent the previous 11 months participating in off-season training. The dedication to their sport paid off when they inked their names in nine Rails Top 5 All Times.
Devin Greenwood and Cooper Worth earned their Sub :50 shirts. Meanwhile Miguel Espinoza, Konnor Klocke and Logan Neifert earned their Sub :55 shits and Mark Hubbell earned his Sub :60 shirt. The Medley Relay (Greenwood, Whitehead, Worth and Clark) set the Medley Relay record with a historic 1:38.72 and took 11th at the state meet. Devin Greenwood also set the 100 Back record with a 54.14! In all, five events qualified for the state meet, including the 50 Free, 100 Fly and the 400 Free Relay (Clark, Worth, Greenwood, Santiago).
The team won the Metro Conference Championship meet for the first time in school history and also finished first in the overall conference standings. They ended the season 8-1 overall.
