The Rails had the honor of being represented on the State Diving podium for the second straight year. Jolynn Harris moved up one spot from her 2015 performance and finished 4th out of 30 divers!
In state diving, all divers dive the first five dives of their list. At that point, the field is cut to the top 20. These 20 athletes dive the next 3 dives at which point the field is reduced to 16. The top 16 dive the final three dives to determine final placing.
Top 6 Finishers
1) Claire Park, senior
2) Andrea Adam, senior
3) Jayna Misra, sophomore
4) Jolynn Harris, junior
5) Jayden Lovell, senior
6) Sami Trowbridge, sophomore
With three seniors in the top six, it sets up an exciting state diving meet for next year.
Jolynn dove well starting off her night with an amazing 1.5 somersault and finished it with several more great dives along the way. You can view all her dives on the Rails twitter feed, http://www.twitter.com/railswimming.
