Meet The Sophomores

Most of these ladies are returning to the team from last year, but we do have one new face for the 2016 season. This group represents Norwalk, Carlisle and the Southside of Des Moines. This group of swimmers trained hard all off-season to meet personal and team goals this year. Learn a little more about each girl below:

Erica Benson | Erica’s main goal this season is to go State with her medley relay team! She’s most looking forward to welcoming all of the new freshman to the team and making new friends.

Grace Crady | Grace’s goals this season include swimming the 500 Free in under 5:55, the 200 Free in under 2:08 and earning her Sub :60 t-shirt in the 100 Free! She’s also involved in band, choir, tennis and showchoir. Grace is one of our Norwalk swimmers.

Gina Goshon | Gina’s big goal this season is to drop time in her events (mostly the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke). She is also involved in band and is one of our Norwalk swimmers. Gina is most looking forward to taper, the team dinners and just bonding with the team!

Anna Jasper | Anna’s main goal for season is to beat her taper times from last season. She’s also involved in Robotics and is most looking forward to the team bonding.

Lanchi Nguyen | Lanchi’s goal for this season is to lower her times in all her events. She’s also involved in band and track.

Emma Peterson | Emma is new to the team this season. Her goal is to improve her time in the 50 Free. She’s also involved in showchoir and is one of our Norwalk swimmers. Emma is most looking forward to taper and team events/dinners.

Keara Schmitt | Keara’s goals for season include swimming the 50 Free in under 28 seconds and the 100 Free in under 1:05. She’s also involved in basketball and is one of our Carlisle swimmers. Keara is most looking forward to taper.

Kristina Toben | Kristina is varsity diver. Her big goal is to make it to State in diving! She’s also involved in volleyball and cheerleading. Kristina is most looking forward to bonding with her team and getting to know everyone better during meets.

Taylor Whipple | Taylor’s main goal for season is to swim the 100 Breaststroke in 1:20 (or better!). She’s most looking forward to spending time with her team and, of course, taper.

Ella Worth | Ella’s goals this season are to drop time overall and to happy with her accomplishments. She’s looking forward to taper and the team dinners.
