The Rails continued their winning streak the last two weeks with wins over conference foes Ottumwa and Hoover-North. Though both meets were decided by less than 6 points each a year ago, the Rails were able to out swim both metro teams by over 40 points in 2014, showing that the youth movement and added depth has helped create a strong swimming base on the south side.
Looking to add more competition this season the Rails added a invitational in Cedar Falls, against some of the top teams in Eastern Iowa this past Saturday. With eight teams in the field, the Lincoln swimmers were able to come away with a solid 4th place finish, just 13 points behind 3rd place team Decorah.
