The 2014-15 Lincoln Men’s swim season is in full swing following the first official week of practices and a time trials meet held at Lincoln on Saturday, 11/15. The 2014-15 squad is the largest in over a decade at Lincoln, boasting 27 members on the team, many of which are rookies or second year swimmers.
The guys have continued to arrive each morning for 5:45am dry land workouts, and swim every afternoon after school, working harder each day to prove themselves. After a successful time trials meet, the team focuses on their first meet of the season on 11/25 at home against Carroll.
While many of the schools in the metro are taking a full 3 weeks before their first swim meets, Lincoln chose to schedule a tough non-conference opponent early on to test themselves and see what kind of season the team can work towards. The 2013-14 season ended with a 6th consecutive state trip for the Rails squad, and this year’s team has their eyes on even more heading to Marshalltown in February.
