The start of high school girls season is just 10 days away! Though that means summer break is almost over and the State Fair is almost here, it also means 18 girls will be working hard to have a successful year! This year’s team has been practicing all summer to prep for the upcoming season, including in-water and dryland training designed to increase stamina and strength.
The girls have big goals for the season, including heading to state, breaking a school record (or two!) and a solid winning record. Not to mention, individuals have personal goals they’re trying to reach, like earning a Sub :60 T-shirt or a spot on the Regionals team.
Swimming Practice Times
Mornings: 5:45-6:45AM Monday-Thursday
Evenings: 3:00-5:00PM Monday-Friday
Diving Practice Times
Mornings: 5:45-6:45 Monday & Wednesday (dryland with the swimmers)Afternoons: 1:30-3:00PM (during 4th Block “A” days and all early out Wednesdays)
Note: This means that diving will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays some weeks and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays others. For the first two weeks of season, practices will be M/W/F/S.
This first week the girls will be doing dryland practice every morning. No need to bring swimsuits to morning practice! We’ll start the normal M/W dryland and T/TH swimming on Monday the 18th.
