Rails Enter Break 3-3

The 2013-14 Men’s swim season is officially halfway over!

The Rails continue to improve and give the fans something awesome to watch at meets! With close meets against Newton and Grinnell, and tough match ups with Waukee and Johnston, the Rails came away with a dual meet record of 1-3, looking at two meets in 3 days against SE Polk and Ottumwa before heading in to the winter break practice sessions. After a close seven point win at home against SE Polk, the Rails gave Ottumwa everything they had to win the meet on the final relay by less than a second!

With a record of 3-3, the guys now look to the rest of the metro conference schedule and a big invitational at Cedar Rapids Washington in late January before the championship season arrives.

All swimmers are using these extra long workouts to try and prove themselves ready for the championship season and hopefully making a trip to Marshalltown in February! Our next home meet is Tuesday, January 7 at Lincoln starting at 5:30pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!
