Another rival goes down to the Rails! Lincoln swam against Hoover at home on Tuesday (10/1) and the team earned a “W” with a final score of 108-68.
The rivalry between the two schools goes back several years. The Rails won four straight years, Hoover won the next three years, and last year culminated in a close eight point win for Lincoln! Now the team is on a two-year win streak, which they’ll hope to continue next year.
The team swam well as whole, with most girls holding times close to their season bests. Plus – a few girls saw even bigger drops from Saturday.
Jordan Greenwood’s 50 Free split in the Medley Relay of 25.92 was her fastest ever!
Anna Dotts dropped over 4 seconds in her 200 Free to a new best, 2:20
Emilie Skartvedt scored over 200 points for the 4th time this year, having never done so in prior years.
Abby Harrison swimming her second fastest 100 Back ever, 1:07.67
Jordyn DuBois swam a 1:10.85, another personal best in the 100 Back in back-to-back meets!
Congrats to the entire team on the win! The girls swim team has an overall record of 7-2 and 4-0 record vs. conference opponents.
Lincoln vs. Roosevelt
Next Tuesday (10/8), the Rails will be headed to RHS for a 5:30PM meet. This is their last away dual meet of the year. Roosevelt is a deep team which means the Rails will have a great opportunity to go after personal and season best times. That could mean even better seeds for the Regional meet as the girls aim for State!
