Introducing the Rails Swim Team Juniors! They’ve joined the ranks of upperclassman and will be key leaders on the team this year. This group of veterans plays an important role in the success of the team, both for winning meets and for getting events to State. Learn a little more about each girl below:
Abigail Contreras: Abi’s main goal for season is to return to state! As part of that, she’d like to drop time in her 50 Free (to 26 seconds) and get her Sub :60 shirt for the 100 Free. She also dances in heritage festivals around Iowa.
Jordan Greenwood: Jordan’s main goal for season is to swim another 50 Free in 25 seconds (or faster!). She’s most looking forward to swimming at all the meets with the rest of the team. Jordan is also one of our Carlisle swimmers.
Sierra Johnson: Sierra’s goals for season include getting faster in her events (like the 100 Breaststroke and the Medley Relay) and becoming closer to the team. Sierra recently joined the Norwalk school district and is a new member of our team so she’s looking forward to getting to know all her teammates! She’s also involved in track & field.
Valeria Santiago: Valeria’s big goal for this season is to break the 100 Fly record! She’s looking forward to having fun with all of her “home girls” at team functions and during the meet. Valeria is also on the Lincoln Track & Field team and coaches SDMS Club Swimming.
