We are very excited to welcome these 9th graders to the Rails Swim team! This group features swimmers from Norwalk, Carlisle and the Southside of Des Moines. These young ladies are the building blocks of the future, but their contributions this season shouldn’t be overlooked. Learn a little more about each girl below:
Sara Bennett: Sara’s main goal for season is to swim a 100 Free in under 60 seconds, earning her a Sub :60 T-shirt! She’s looking forward to all the team activities like team dinners, sleepovers and just hanging out with all of the girls. Sara is one of our Norwalk swimmers.
Madison Carter: Madison’s goal for the season is to drop time of her time trials time for a new personal best. She’s looking forward to learning more about all the strokes, gaining swimming experience and having fun!
Jordan Hanson: Jordan’s goal for the season is to improve her technique in all four strokes. She’s also involved in orchestra and choir. Jordan is also one of our Norwalk swimmers.
Marnie Hoefler: Marnie’s goal for season is drop time in her 50 Free. She’d like to be faster than 34.19 seconds, her original time coming into season. She’s most looking forward to the Thursday Morning Breakfast Club and all the team dinners. Marnie is also one of our Nowalk swimmers.
Summer Struve: Summer’s goal for the season is to drop time in her breaststroke and sprint freestyle events. She joins us from Carlisle.
Jessica Warrell: Jessica’s main goal for season is to improve her sprint freestyle times. She’d like to swim faster than 30 seconds for her 50 Free. Jessica also participates in track and volleyball.
