The HS women’s team dominated East on Tuesday (10/9) with a 118-52 victory. The girls came ready to race and they held their season times in all events. That’s quite an achievement since taper season had just begun. Taper involves longer, tougher practices and wearing drag (extra suits, tights and shorts) while swimming those practices.
Even with some sore muscles, the team swam well including these great swims:
- Jordan DuBois swam the 200 IM in a 2:51
- Olivia Simpson’s 50 Free was a 28.44 and she out-touched a girl to take second!
- Autum Song had a new season best in the 100 Fly, a 1:05.03!
- Abby Harrision’s 100 Back was a solid 1:11
The team is already looking ahead to the Conference Meet next Thursday (10/18). The diving portion of the meet will be Wednesday (10/17) with two divers participating, Emilie Skartvedt and Torie Dotts.
We hope to see you there! Go Rails!
