The Lincoln Rails high school men’s team began on Monday, November 7th. The team practices twice a day, an hour in the early morning and 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. But the guys all know the hard work is worth it. This year’s team poised to do some great things, including repeat as Metro Champs and send over 10 guys to the state meet!
The team is made up of seven seniors, four juniors, four sophomores and four freshman, making it one of the largest Lincoln Men’s team in several years. You can check out the full roster here. With the large senior class, the Rails have the experience needed to tackle their lofty goals.
And they’ll need it! Their first challenge will come right out of the gates. Next week, the Rails face Mason City at Lincoln (11/22/11). The meet was a close one last year, with the Rails victorious by only 6 points! We’d love to see our fans out in big numbers to support the team as they try to win again. Good luck Rails!
