In 2011, the Lincoln Rails Women’s team had a great season. From every level of the team, there were huge time drops. The season ended with five girls earning spots to the state meet in Marshalltown. Brittany Purscell was the Breaststroke State Champion and the Medley Relay swam the 4th fastest time in Lincoln Women’s Swimming history!
The high school women’s team is young, made up of mostly freshman and sophomores. But they are dedicated and out to make each season a success. With all 11 of the state cut-off times faster than ever before, the team is already planning for next year. After a few weeks off, they will be back in the water to work out in the off-season.
